Erika Ruiz, an insurance professional and financial planning advisor, was born in Colombia on October 29, 1981. From an early age, she demonstrated a deep commitment to serving others—a purpose that has consistently shaped her personal and professional path.
At 17, Erika moved to the United States to study English, later continuing to Canada, where she trained as a Community Service Worker. In this role, she worked closely with children and families in vulnerable situations, strengthening her dedication to advocacy, education, and empowerment. She further expanded her expertise by earning a second credential as a Teacher of English as a Foreign Language (TEFLT). In 2017, Erika began a new chapter in Miami with her husband and son. She discovered a calling in the financial services industry—an area where education, trust, and leadership intersect. As an independent agent and founder of Benefitcare Insurance Agency, she specializes in guiding families to protect their financial and health well-being. For more than six years, she has supported Hispanic families across Florida and other states, empowering them with strategies to secure their futures.
Erika is recognized for her empathetic leadership style, active listening, and strong commitment to education.
